House of Kava bridges Pacific Island tradition with modern Australian life, delivering the world's finest noble kava to those who seek calm, connection, and quality.
House of Kava was founded from a deep respect for Pacific Island culture and a belief that Australians should have access to the highest quality noble kava.
Rather than relying on spot purchases or unverified brokers, we set out to build a supply chain the right way. We work on the ground with partners who maintain direct farmer relationships, operate dedicated processing facilities, and manage the process from harvest through to export.
Today our team spans both the Pacific Islands and Australia, working closely with growers and production partners to ensure quality, consistency, and full traceability in every batch.
Australia legalised kava for commercial import in December 2021, opening a new market that required strong standards and responsible supply. House of Kava was created to help build that foundation by combining regulatory expertise, quality assurance, and reliable local distribution.
Our goal is simple: to build a trusted bridge between Pacific kava producers and the growing Australian kava community.

Our supply partner, Kavain, operates their own farms and ISO-certified processing facilities in Fiji and Vanuatu, in addition to partnering with over 50 farms across the Pacific Islands. Their vertically integrated operations, from cultivation through processing to export, provide the full traceability and quality control we require.
Our noble-only policy means we never accept tudei (two-day) varieties. Every batch is third-party tested and accompanied by a Certificate of Analysis. We require exclusively lateral root and rootstock material, never aerial parts.
Our team works across the Pacific Islands and Australia, maintaining close relationships with growers and production partners to ensure responsible sourcing and long-term supply.
We partner with a producer that operates its own processing facilities and manages the journey from harvest through to export, ensuring quality and traceability at every step.
Every batch is noble-only and root-only, supported by Certificates of Analysis and strict quality benchmarks before entering Australia.
Deep understanding of Australia's kava import framework, including FSANZ compliance and the regulatory requirements introduced after legalisation.
Melbourne-based warehousing with reliable national distribution, ensuring consistent supply to retailers and distributors across the country.
We are committed to growing the Australian kava market through responsible supply, education, and long-term partnerships with retailers.
"Kava is more than a product to us. It is a bridge between cultures, a shared moment of calm, and a responsibility we carry with respect."
The House of Kava Team
Kava has been at the heart of Pacific Island culture for over 3,000 years. It is the drink of ceremony, welcome, council, and peace. We recognise that responsibility and ensure our practices honour the communities and traditions that make kava possible.
Australia is home to one of the largest Pacific Islander diasporas in the world. For many in these communities, kava is not a trend, it is a vital cultural connection. We are proud to serve this community alongside newcomers discovering kava for the first time.

We believe the success of the Australian kava market should benefit the Pacific Island communities who make it possible. That is why we work with supply partners who prioritise fair pricing, long term farmer relationships, and responsible sourcing practices.
Through our supply network we are developing initiatives such as Kavapay, a program designed to strengthen farmer livelihoods and support the communities where kava is grown. Kavapay will help farmers access practical resources that improve day to day operations, including support for harvesting, transport, and local infrastructure.
As the Australian market continues to grow, we remain committed to supporting programs that strengthen the connection between Pacific kava growers and the people who enjoy kava in Australia through education, community initiatives, and cultural awareness.
Whether you are a business looking for a reliable wholesale partner, a Pacific Islander community sourcing kava in bulk, or an individual seeking premium kava for your personal ritual, we are here.
